LYH receives $75,000 US for dormitoryLions Youth Haven is happy to report that they have been successful in their bid to Lions Club Internationial Foundation for funds to support the building of a dormitory at the farm. These funds will be added to those donated by the ACT Government in 2008 as well as significant funding donated by local Lions Club in the ACT and Region. The dormitory will provide short term residential accomodation for variety of schools and organisations working with disadvantaged youth.

with all proceeds going to support the building of the dormitory at LYH.

ACT Environment Grants supports "Trees in Trouble"
LYH is happy to report that a recent submission to the ACT Environment Grants to support LYH in the construction of 30 tree guards to protect important local Yellow Box and Red Gum trees from damage by stock has been successful. This grant will allow LYH to engage youth in meaningful construction activity whilst at the same time protecting these iconic trees both on the LYH farm and other properties in the ACT
